- Coming into a foreign country to study, there are many factors to take into consideration, being new in the country we provide orientation to international students and provide services to extension of study permit, post graduate work permit and eventually application for permanent resident for individuals who decide to stay.
- Career Space may provide support and provide information on navigating life in Canada. The office can assist with questions on various topics such as how to acquire Social Security number, opening bank accounts, acquiring health cards, provincial cards. Etc..
- Orientation, information and referral to other community programs and services for you and your family
- Orientation, information and referral to other community programs and services for you and your family
- Language classes that are funded by the federal or provincial government are generally free for eligible newcomers
- Help to find a job or referral to programs like skills training and foreign credential assessment
- Assistance in registering your children in school or finding childcare
- Interpretation – For newcomers that need assistance accessing services in English or French can have the support of an interpreter from a settlement agency
- Help filling out forms and applications like:
- Benefits and Credits for Newcomers to Canada
- OHIP (health care) application
- Social Insurance Number (SIN)
- Employment Insurance (EI) benefits
